MERT CİHANGİR, GLOMARK
I managed the physical store expansion of Defacto and FLO across nearly 30 countries. Together with my colleagues, we successfully opened more than 300 international stores. During times of crisis, I had the opportunity to gain valuable management experience. It was not only about opening new stores abroad, but also about handling the challenging processes of closing operations when necessary. In addition, I played a key role in establishing the international wholesale network and launching branded wholesale operations. Looking back at my professional journey, I see that there are many Turkish brands with strong potential to succeed abroad. However, I believe the most critical challenge our brands face is either not being able to meet the right business partners on the right platforms, or not being fully prepared when such opportunities arise. As the GLOMARK team, our goal is to both understand companies closely and support them in finding the right markets and partners that fit their unique needs. We strongly believe that once the right market and the right partner are identified, international expansion will accelerate and create new channels for our brands. Our team aims to stand by your side in designing every step of the internationalization process — from market analysis to building your brand’s presence abroad and developing the most effective business models.
